The North Face Hedgehog Futurelight Mid Shoe

The North Face's classic Hedgehogs have had a sustainable update, introducing the Hedgehog FUTURELIGHT™ Mid Shoes. Boasting the breathable-waterproof FUTURELIGHT™ membrane (that is also sustainable), feet will be kept cool and dry as you tackle the trail, while abrasion-resistant mesh and rustproof metal details add a robust finish. The soles are also zonally fine-tuned with CRADLE™ heel-stability technology for optimised support, and Ortholite® insoles ensure premium cushioning power even over long-term use. Additionally, the durable Vibram® XS Trek outer soles deliver the optimal balance of traction and grip without adding unnecessary weight or bulk.

What is FUTURELIGHT™?

Unlike conventional membranes, the nano structure of the FUTURELIGHT™ membrane allows air to pass through for better venting and breathability without sacrificing water-resistance and durability.

This nano-fibre structure has enabled The North Face to create its most lightweight, breathable, and sustainable membrane to date. An ultra-thin, nimble membrane that feels just as comfortable and provides the protection needed against the elements in the harshest environments. 

The production method for FUTURELIGHT™ also uses less chemicals and water than traditional methods.
