Carbon XC 12 Sole

Thanks to the Carbon XC 12 Sole, optimal pedalling efficiency meets long-distance comfort in perfect harmony. Put pressure on the pedals and the carbon insert around the cleat zone propels you forward with little wasted effort. However, flex across the medial zone prevents rough trails and vibrations from causing early foot fatigue. 

High-traction and high wear TPU tread inserts are strategically placed to give off-the-bike traction, perfect when you need to hop off your bike and scramble on foot. The minimalist design also ensures there's no weight penalty.

Experience XFrame 2® Excellence

The upper of the Extreme XCMs benefit from Northwave's now improved XFrame 2® construction. This patented design wraps your foot to ensure the finest fit when you're applying the watts. No movement, just a secure and supportive hold with no pressure points.

The integrated heel system, with a no-stitch heel design and inner heel grip material, provides a firm hold on the upstroke while saving weight thanks to the absence of a separate heel cup. 

Dual SLW 3 Closure System

The Dual SLW3 dial system, developed by X-Dial, builds and improves upon the previous iterations, making the fit and adjustment of your shoes quicker and easier than ever. It gives micrometric adjustment of the upper and lower foot, both to increase foothold and to release pressure. Twist to tighten. Press the side button to release pressure incrementally. All easily done on the go.
