What will I be doing?

The Merchandiser is the overall owner of the range framework, ensuring full analysis has been considered, in line with any known future trends to design an overall plan to enable the Buyer to deliver an edited range of the best products for each customer segment.  This must be done within the overall Department budgeted parameters, and controlled / re-forecast in season, with full communication to the wider business.  The Merchandiser owns the overall Department P&L, and is responsible for modelling price promotions and clearance activities, and keeping the range performing within the agreed parameters (Budget / agreed re-forecasts).

You will also…

  • Input and own the Department Budget and Re-Forecast from Sales Volume, Value, COGS, Stock, Intake and Gross Profit metrics
  • Create a balanced range framework (attribute and spend balance)
  • Own the in-season trading numbers (P&L) and manage the process.
  • Own the product forecasts
  • Forecast, model and track price promotions and clearance activity
  • Propose sourcing objectives (speed / cost balance)
  • Develop and sign off the Department Assortment Plan
  • Use historical analysis and market trends effectively to justify forward plans
  • Manage the range within the agreed parameters (width of range, clearance at end of lifecycle etc)
  • Communicate key information to the wider business (e.g. Marketing, Operations, Finance etc)

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Experience of Merchandising within a similar retailer, or highly performing individual from within the business looking to progress
  • Must be highly numeric with good skills in Excel and Powerpoint, with Oracle Retail an advantage.
  • Have good commercial understanding of the product set, with wider market knowledge. 
  • Understand the principles of balanced attribute range building, and able to construct and operate within a budgeted framework.
  • Able to create buying framework and manage the Buyer to operate within this
  • Able to make best for business decisions within a timely manner

  • You will develop creative web solutions with input from the Designer and UX teams and become an expert in creating engaging brand content. From visual mock-ups through to delivery

Duties and responsibilities:

  • The Mapil Topco Limited Group includes 17 legal entities spanning 5 countries, including 6 trading entities. In addition to the Group consolidated accounts, there are two sub-consolidations prepared for banking purposes
  • Line managing an Assistant Financial Accountant
  • Project work consisting of the Group’s strategic and regulatory requirements, including the implementation of a customs warehouse, making tax digital, and expansion into a range of territories
  • Preparation of the UK annual financial statements of the Group under IFRS/FRS 101, including the Mapil Topco consolidated accounts and the Mapil Midco 2 non-statutory sub-consolidation
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Month end accounting for the 5 UK holding entities (investment and debt companies).
  • Month end consolidation of the group, including preparation and maintenance of all consolidation and elimination journals

The Buying Assistant is responsible for all product data, ensuring we have all the required information to set up new Suppliers, Brands or Products.   You must work alongside the Merchandiser and Buyer in line with the product critical paths to obtain all the required information, and manage the product set up to allow ordering and listings to be complete on time.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Collect all required data from Suppliers
  • Enter product data in a timely and accurate manner
  • Monitor and improve all product information
  • Enter deal / terms information accurately
  • Support the Buyer in any administrative tasks
  • Obtaining and maintaining item information, images and details required to create and list products

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Past retail experience is an advantage, as is a keen interest in the product category. 
  • Must demonstrate good organisational skills to work well under pressure, paying meticulous attention to detail.

Pro-actively identify problems and trends and propose solutions and recommendations to optimise systems performance and stability.

·Promoting quality on all support activities, acting as a role model for other less experienced team members.

·Responsible for the day to day coaching, supervision, support and mentoring of Service Desk Analysts both individually and as a group.

It I responsible for closure of incidents, supply of IT equipment and access management. What will you be doing:

You will be responsible for providing day to day supervision for the Service Desk Team which provides a first point of contact to all our IT users. A key aspect of your role will be to embed a customer focused culture, with emphasis on ownership of incidents and requests within the Service Desk team. You will also act as the lead Major Incident Manager and are authorised to use whatever resources are necessary to resolve said incidents. This role will also require you to be an escalation point to the primary out of hour’s team for one week in four.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Performing first time fix on incidents raised to the team in a professional manner.
  • Provide first line telephone and ticket-based IT and application support to the Wiggle business
  • Performing service requests raised to the team including accounts set up, software installations and physical desk moves.
  • Manage the change management process and attend a Change Acceptance Board when required.
  • Pro-actively identify problems and trends and propose solutions and recommendations to optimise systems performance and stability.
  • Renew or procure services on behalf of the IT department where required by following the purchase order process
  • Provide reports on IT performance to senior members of the Wiggle business.
  • To assist in transition process from either an internal or external IT development team into IT support.
  • Create and maintain IT support documentation where missing or incorrect.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Windows 7 and Windows 10 administration experience.
